HMV Live & MAMA Festivals present NEXT BIG THING featuring You Me At Six, Young Guns and This City

You Me At Six play the Relentless Garage on 8th February. A little more than one year after the release of the group’s debut album, ‘Take Off Your Colours’ – a collection that propelled its creators into the UK Top 30 (number 25) and onto concert stages the world over – England’s You Me At Six return with ‘Hold Me Down’, their second full-length LP. The group have supported Angels And Airwaves (the outfit formed by Blink 182 mainman Tom DeLonge) at London’s now demolished Astoria theatre. Without a debut album to their name, the young group also toured with Charlie Simpson’s Fightstar and American pop-punkers New Found Glory, to name but two.

Young Guns are a hotly-tipped quintet who’ll unleash forthcoming single ‘Winter Kiss’, to the masses on January 25th.  It will have been just over a year since they emerged to an unsuspecting UK rock scene. Since debuting with digital single ‘In The Night’, last January, a track that was also included on their debut EP‘Mirrors’ at the end of the June, the band have hardly been off the road.  Having toured the UK with the likes of Lostprophets, Taking Back Sunday and Fightstar, as well as much talked about appearances at the Download, Sonisphere and Slam Dunk festivals, their time spent on the road has set the band up as one of the most talked about unsigned UK bands of recent times.

ThisCity formed in 2006.  Since coming together, the quintet have played literally hundreds of shows, both large and small…..designed all their own artwork and t-shirts and covered themselves in impressive amounts of ink. As well as performing under their own banner, the group has shared stages with, among others, Rival Schools,Kids In Glass Houses,Ghost Of A Thousand, Sparta, Taking Back Sunday and Biffy Clyro.
