Upstairs at the Relentless Garage
Following on from successful events at Shoreditch’s Industry Club, The Barfly, Cargo Shoreditch and The Soho Revue Bar, Breakconvention Live debut at The Relentless Garage for a special live music showcase event featuring…
Ambassadors Of Morocco are limbering up to launch themselves into the public arena in the autumn of 2010. Following a year of sold-out shows, cherry-picked support-slots, Radio 6 & XFM demo exposure and the honing of a hatful of original songs into a manageable, album sized, comfortably-downloadable set, a single has finally been chosen, with mix engineer Dave Bascombe and his healing hands at the controls. Yes, ‘that’ Dave Bascombe… of Tears For Fears, Depeche Mode, Suede, Placebo and Goldfrapp note.
Ambassadors Of Morocco import the very best of the 80’s lean, edgy, angular, guitar-led pop sound and add 20 years of further musical progression & knowledge to create their own sound. Firm nods are made to The Cure, Wire, Depeche and The Pixies and caps doffed to Blur, Feeder, Smashing Pumpkins and even early U2 (before tax evasion and a God complex muddied the waters).
These Furrows are a teenage 4 piece from Leicester. Formed in Dec 2008 their progress has been rapid with them securing a string of support slots with the likes of the Fun Lovin' Criminals, Tubelord & The Zutons.
Tarrbaby formed in 2006 as a personal project of Jonny Tarr, producing music with a soul-dance, jazz-infused twist. Tarrbaby have played at most of London’s soul-inclined venues (The Notting Hill Arts Club/MauMau/The Jazz Café/The Vibe Bar/Cargo), and have also played gigs in New York, Philadelphia and New Jersey.
Abandon Mute will be showcasing their hotly anticipated new material from their debut album ‘Sheep Syndrome’. This group of experienced musicians combined with their passion and song writing talents are about to explode a mean, soft, beautiful, LOUD, quiet, humble, confident, loving, eclectic, raw, clean, dirty, exciting new sound on to the music scene.
