MASTERS AT WORK... For over a decade, "Little Louie” Vega and Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez have shepherded dance music down new paths with their inventive production style and imaginative feel for different musical forms.
The three-time Grammy nominated KENNY DOPE, is one of the most prolific artists of the modern music age, has been entertaining and astounding the masses alike with House, Hip Hop, Latin, Jazz, Soul and Funk.
KENNY heralds from New York and has been instrumental in creating and establishing the house music scene that thrives today.
His production CV is truly impressive while his remix discography is an incredible catalogue of work that includes a long list of mainstream artists from Madonna to Michael Jackson. Kenny Dope’s breakthrough as a solo artist came with the recording of the breathtaking Bucketheads album in 1995. Following the success of Bucketheads, Kenny took a break from his solo career, focusing on his collaborative work with Vega (Masters of Work). The Nuyorican Soul album marked a particularly important moment, and had Kenny Dope’s unerringly creative imprint written all over it. The album’s release marked Kenny Dope’s transition into one of America’s most important contemporary producer.
In 2011 RASHEED CHAPPEL dropped one of the most anticipated true school Hip Hop albums of the year - “Future Before Nostalgia”. The album was produced by Kenny and released on his own Kay Dee Records label”
