Lucy Rose is an elfin 22 year old songwriter with a voice that people instantly fall for.

In her slight frame she combines purity of musical purpose, a beautifully grainy voice and a passionate songwriter's instincts with a thirst for Guinness, a deranged sense of humour and a disrespect for pop's history which comes naturally to someone born in 1989.

She grew up in the countryside and escaped to London aged 19 to lead the life of teenage troubadour, dragging her guitar around town playing heartbending songs to drunk builders in East end pubs.

As the weeks went by, magical occurrences started to take place. Her gigs began to fill up with ardent fans. Edith Bowman announced on Radio 1: “Lucy Rose is absolutely outstanding. A brilliant, brilliant voice that girl has on her.” Jack Steadman from Bombay Bicycle Club invited her to duet on a song for the band’s next album. Mumford And Sons asked her to play their night. John Kennedy asked her in for an XFM session. Her Watch Listen Tell video of ‘Nightbus’ clocked up 128 000 views at high speed and early reviewers proclaimed: “We're catching Lucy Rose at the beginning of what we think will be a long and prominent career arc.”

With her swag bag of songs overflowing , and her shows selling out before a she’s released any music, Lucy Rose is poised to become one of the voices of the next decade.

Support comes from Paul Freeman whose music bursts at the seams with intelligence, complexity melodic exhilaration and life-affirming exuberance.
