Z-STAR (Zee Gachette) rocks an energy that ignites the room, so it’s no surprise that she’s been described as the lovechild of Hendrix and Nina Simone. An international Rock Soul singer-songwriter, producer and poet with a flair for AcoustikFunk, profound improvisations and wild tribal grooves - she’s unmistakably “a force of nature” as Jimmy Page declared at the BMAs after witnessing the voodoo child live.

Amongst the loyal and ever-growing fanbase of music lovers and musicians who have discovered her sound on records, radio, TV, the web or at her legendary live shows, she has a myth-like reputation that quietly spans the globe. After an explosive live performance at London’s Jazz Cafe, Evening Standard writer John L. Waters wrote “Range, power and style - a Soul Jazz diva to watch out for!”

A musicians’ artist admired by many talented folk, Z-STAR’s songs sound like instant classics delivered with a voice that, like the blues, offers a raw gem of Rock rasp and honey Soul. Her sonic magic is  beautifully expressed through a genre-defying sound testified by the many inspiring collaborations (live/studio) with artists like; Keziah Jones, Terry Callier, Max Sedgley, Nigel Kennedy, Shlomo, Meshel NDegeocello, Sunlightsquare, Richie Havens and most recently psychedelic 60s legend Arthur Brown at the Ray Davies Southbank Meltdown.

Her musical career has produced five albums, an electro soul project SLOWTRAINSOUL with over 2.5 million combined compilation sales worldwide, a top 20 solo album, music featured on hit US TV series Ugly Betty, CSI, Six Feet Under, Californication, an eight page spread in Italian Vogue and performances on global stages with audiences of up to 250,000 (Glastonbury, Roskilde, MTV Live, Vagina Monologues, Albert Hall, Radio City Hall etc.).

Zee will be performing music from her full repertoire, including tracks from her latest release, MASOCHISTS & MARTYRS "a creative masterpiece" Blues & Soul magazine.
