2009 has marked a key point in Lynyrd Skynyrd’s storied career. The band had a recent Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction, their American rock anthem 'Sweet Home Alabama' passed the 2 million mark in downloaded ringtones in the US and last summer, the band co-headlined one of the most successful US tours of the year with their good friend, Kid Rock.

With a catalogue of over 60 albums and sales beyond 30 million, Lynyrd Skynyrd remain a musical force to be reckoned with and a beacon for the Southern Rock genre. Beyond the tragedy, the history, the classic songs, ultimately, Lynyrd Skynyrd is about an indomitable will. About survival of spirit; unbowed, uniquely American, stubbornly resolute.
