Enter Shikari are a four-piece post-hardcore band, formed in 2003 in St. Albans, Hertfordshire.  They are inspired by hardore (in both punk-rock and dance genres), metal and trance.

The band is named after the boat of one of the band member's relatives, and a character in a play Rou wrote before forming the band. 

 Their debut album, 'Take To The Skies', was released in 2007 and reached the dizzying heights of number 4 in the Official UK Album Chart and their second effort, entitled 'Common Dreads', was released in June this year, debuting in the UK Albums Chart at 16.

Enter Shikari have won numerous awards including:

Kerrang! Awards: Best British Newcomer nomination (2006)
NME Awards: John Peel Award for Musical Innovation (2007) - The award was given to the band when they supported lostprophets at an NME Awards Show on February 15, 2007.
Won Rock Sound Magazine's poll for 'who will make it in 2007'[12]
